[00:00:38] And they could come to his place and go without anybody paying attention cause nobody expected them

[00:00:49] Now that's the story that my grandfather told me when i was just a boy

[00:00:55] And he said that frank james at that world's fair

[00:00:58] I think it was 1901 in st louis him and jesse were both there

[00:01:03] My grandfather and frank james were together there

[00:01:07] And that frank james offered to bring jesse there alive

[00:01:12] He said that the man that the ford boys killed wasn't jesse james at all

[00:01:17] But the fellow they killed was just about the size of jesse and he was red headed

[00:01:21] And he wasn't any relation to the fords

[00:01:24] See jesse james was a known cousin to charles and bob ford

[00:01:28] That's what my grandfather said

[00:01:32] He said jesse and frank were not even in that part of the country when that fellow was killed

[00:01:38] And the ford boys why they collected a thousand dollars for killing jesse james

[00:01:46] Now the song says that the ford boys killed jesse
