[00:01:27] That the black man was called 'cause his labor was cheap

[00:01:32] With drill and with shovel he toiled underground

[00:01:38] For six pennies a day to tender the ground

[00:01:46] Now this land is so rich and it seems strange to me

[00:01:51] That the black man whose labor has helped it to be

[00:01:56] Cannot enjoy the fruits that abound

[00:02:01] Is uprooted and kicked from his own piece of ground

[00:02:09] Some people say now don't you worry

[00:02:15] We've kept you a nice piece of reserve territory

[00:02:20] But how can a life for so many be found

[00:02:25] On a miserable thirty per cent of the ground
