[00:00:36] In Oxford Street, queues formed outside shops ahead of

[00:00:40] pre dawn openings for the start of their sales.

[00:00:44] At Brent Cross in north London, more than 1,000 people

[00:00:48] were queuing at 3:30 a.m.

[00:00:50] for the" next" clothing store's sale which began at 4 a.m.

[00:00:56] Some people even camped outside the shops to be first in the

[00:01:00] line.

[00:01:02] Some people are taking their friends shopping with them

[00:01:06] and buying their Christmas presents in the sales a practical

[00:01:10] but unromantic way of making sure you get the gift you really

[00:01:14] want.

[00:01:16] For a less exciting but less stressful shopping experience,

[00:01:20] online retailers are also getting in on the act with January

[00:01:25] sales of their own.

[00:01:28] The most organized of all are those who are already doing

[00:01:32] their present shoppping for next Christmas in the January

[00:01:37] sales!
