[00:00:00] I am going to work in a totally new environment.

[00:00:04] I'll have to get used to different working conditions.

[00:00:08] I am used to working in quite a high-tech sort of

[00:00:11] industry that's got lots of machinery and everything.

[00:00:15] But now I am going to a place that has no machinery as

[00:00:19] such apart from a typewriter.

[00:00:22] The place has no electricity at all, no photo copiers.

[00:00:27] All the things that you just take for granted here,

[00:00:31] they just won't be there anymore.

[00:00:34] I'll be staying near the school in quite a small village,

[00:00:39] and I will be staying in a teacher's house, living with two

[00:00:42] or three other volunteer teachers.

[00:00:46] I'll have to get used to not having the variety of different

[00:00:50] foods that you have here like 20 different varieties of

[00:00:54] breakfast serial.

[00:00:55] And the range of food there is much smaller, not many choices.

[00:01:01] I'll also have to get used to getting water from a well.

[00:01:05] Not having electricity, which means gas lamps in the evening,

[00:01:10] which means the difficulty of preparing for the next day's

[00:01:14] lessons in poor light,

[00:01:16] which means different ways of getting your clothes washed.

[00:01:20] There'll be all sorts of big differences like that

[00:01:24] that I'll have to get used to when I arrive there.
