[00:00:06] Seized a lamb in her talons and made off with it to her nest

[00:00:14] And his silly head was filled with the idea that

[00:00:17] He was big and strong enough to do as the eagle had done

[00:00:21] So with much rustling of feathers and a fierce air

[00:00:25] He came down swiftly on the back of a large ram

[00:00:29] But when he tried to rise again he found that he could not get away

[00:00:34] For his claws were tangled in the wool

[00:00:37] And so far was he from carrying away the ram

[00:00:40] That the ram hardly noticed he was there

[00:00:44] The shepherd saw the fluttering jackdaw and at once guessed what had happened

[00:00:49] Running up he caught the bird and clipped its wings

[00:00:53] That evening he gave the jackdaw to his children

[00:00:57] What a funny bird this is

[00:00:59] They said laughing what do you call it father

[00:01:04] That is a jackdaw my children

[00:01:06] But if you should ask him he would say he is an eagle
