[00:00:08] A really remarkable tale

[00:00:11] A peaceful and humdrum existence he had

[00:00:14] Until one day he went for a sail

[00:00:16] The weather were grand when they started

[00:00:19] But later at turn of the tide

[00:00:22] The wind started blowing the water got rough

[00:00:25] And Jonah felt funny inside

[00:00:28] When the ship started pitching and tossing

[00:00:31] He tried hard his feelings to smother

[00:00:34] At last he just leant his head over the side

[00:00:37] And one thing seemed to bring up another

[00:00:40] When the sailors saw what he were doing

[00:00:43] It gave them a bit of a jar

[00:00:46] They didn't mind trippers enjoying theirselves

[00:00:49] But thowt this ere were going too far

[00:00:52] Said one Is there nowt you can think on

[00:00:55] To stop you from feelin' so bad

[00:00:58] And Jonah said Aye lift me over the side

[00:01:01] And chuck me in there's a good lad

[00:01:03] The sailor were not one to argue

[00:01:07] He said Happen you know what's best

[00:01:09] Then he picked Jonah up by the seat of his pants

[00:01:12] And chucked him in as per request

[00:01:15] A Grampus came up at that moment

[00:01:18] And seeing the old man hard set

[00:01:21] It swam to his side and it opened its mouth

[00:01:24] And said Come in lad out of the wet

[00:01:27] It's manner were kindly and pleading

[00:01:31] As if to say RSVP

[00:01:34] Said Jonah I've eaten a kipper or two

[00:01:37] But I never thowt one would eat me

[00:01:40] The inside of Grampus surprised him

[00:01:44] Twere the first time he'd been behind scenes

[00:01:47] He found commodation quite ample for one

[00:01:49] But it smelled like a tin of sardines

[00:01:53] Then over the sea they went cruising

[00:01:56] And Jonah were filled with delight

[00:01:59] With his eye to the blow ole in the Grampus's head

[00:02:02] He watched ships that passed in the night

[00:02:05] I'm tired of watching said Jonah

[00:02:08] I'll rest for a minute or so

[00:02:10] I'm afraid as you wont find your bed very soft

[00:02:13] Said the Grampus I've got a hard roe

[00:02:17] At that moment up came a whale boat

[00:02:21] Said Jonah What's this ere we've struck

[00:02:23] They're after my blubber the Grampus replied

[00:02:26] You'd better old tight while I duck

[00:02:29] The water came in through the spy ole

[00:02:33] And hit Jonah's face a real slosher

[00:02:35] He said Shut your blow 'ole and Grampus replied

[00:02:39] I can't lad it needs a new washer

[00:02:41] Jonah tried card to bail out the water

[00:02:44] But found all his efforts in vain

[00:02:47] For as fast as he emptied

[00:02:49] The slops out through the gills

[00:02:50] They came in through the blow ole again

[00:02:54] When at finish they came to the surface

[00:02:57] Jonah took a look out and he saw

[00:02:59] They were stuck on a bit of a sandbank that lay

[00:03:02] One rod pole or perch from the shore

[00:03:05] Said the Grampus We're in shallow water

[00:03:08] I've brought you as far as I may

[00:03:11] If you sit on the blow 'ole on top of my head

[00:03:14] I'll spout you the rest of the way

[00:03:17] So Jonah obeyed these instructions

[00:03:20] And the Grampus his lungs did expand

[00:03:24] Then blew out a fountain that lifted Jou up

[00:03:27] And carried him safely to land

[00:03:30] There was tears in their eyes when they parted

[00:03:34] And each blew a kiss a real bigun

[00:03:38] Then the Grampus went off with a swish of it's tail

[00:03:42] And Jonah walked back home to Wigan
