[00:00:00] 第29期Converssation3-英语听力

[00:00:00] W: Ah, good morning.

[00:00:01] It's Mr. Robinson, is not it?

[00:00:03] M: Yes.

[00:00:04] W: Have a seat.

[00:00:05] M: Thank you.

[00:00:06] W: OK, I 've got your letter of application.

[00:00:10] Now, as you know, when you apply for a post with our company,

[00:00:14] we need to find out a few things about both your academic

[00:00:17] background and recent work experience.

[00:00:21] M: Sure.

[00:00:22] W: First of all, A levels?

[00:00:25] M: Yes, I 've got three: geography, maths and physics.

[00:00:30] W: Geography, maths and physics.

[00:00:33] OK.

[00:00:34] And what about your degree?

[00:00:37] M: I went to Manchester University and got an engineering degree,

[00:00:41] with water management as my specialization.

[00:00:44] W: Uh huh, I see.

[00:00:46] M: And as for work experience, I started out after graduating in

[00:00:51] 1996 in India, working for the Indian government.

[00:00:55] W: Did you work as a volunteer?

[00:00:57] M: No, it was a three year water irrigation project.

[00:01:01] W: That sounds fascinating.

[00:01:03] How did you organize that?

[00:01:05] You say it was not a British company then.

[00:01:08] M: No, no. My university had links with an Indian engineering

[00:01:11] university, so it was organized at that level.

[00:01:15] W: And after that?

[00:01:16] M: Then I came back, moved to Sheffield and had been working

[00:01:20] with Lattimer Engineering since then.

[00:01:22] W: And what exactly are you doing for Lattimer?

[00:01:26] M: Oh, I 'm working in water irrigation again,

[00:01:29] this time as a project research assistant.

[00:01:32] W: Great, I 've got your details.

[00:01:35] Now let's move on to a more general discussion about

[00:01:39] what we are looking for here ...
