[00:00:07] And I sang it two weeks ago Sunday

[00:00:09] On the Ed Sullivan show

[00:00:10] And the song is called Mononucleosis

[00:00:14] And

[00:00:14] My daughter I talked to her

[00:00:16] And she said all the kids in her school

[00:00:17] There were a hundred kids in her junior high school

[00:00:19] Who had it

[00:00:20] And they think it's a real good subject for a song

[00:00:23] And that's why I originally wrote it was

[00:00:24] That she had come home

[00:00:25] With this mononucleosis about six months ago

[00:00:27] She's thirteen

[00:00:29] And then Life magazine came out a month or so

[00:00:33] Later with an article on

[00:00:34] It that explained that it was the kissing disease

[00:00:36] So I put those two facts together

[00:00:38] I'm a very you know thrilling detective

[00:00:41] And I was wondering well you know

[00:00:43] I'm

[00:00:43] I guess I'm old-fashioned because about six months ago

[00:00:46] She got one of those learner's brassieres

[00:00:56] Well actually she's learning real good

[00:00:57] If you want to know

[00:01:00] I mean the first couple of weeks

[00:01:02] It used to slide down and dangle

[00:01:03] Around her ankles and trip her

[00:01:06] But she's really getting the hang of it now

[00:01:14] Anyway so I dedicated this song sort of to her

[00:01:18] Because of the curiosity that was aroused in my mind

[00:01:21] By these two things happening at once

[00:01:27] And it goes like this

[00:01:28] We don't have any arrangement of it

[00:01:29] They're just kinda faking it

[00:01:30] And we'll just try it

[00:01:31] If it works we'll stick it on the album

[00:01:32] If not I'll just kill myself
