[00:00:14] Respect to Shantideva and all the others

[00:00:17] Who brought down the darma for their sisters and brothers

[00:00:19] I give thanks for this world as a place to learn

[00:00:22] And for this human body that I will have earned

[00:00:24] And my deepest thanks to all sentient beings

[00:00:26] For without them there would be no place to learn

[00:00:28] What I'm seeing

[00:00:29] There's nothing here that's not been said before

[00:00:31] But I put it down now so that I'll be sure

[00:00:33] To solidify my own views and I'll be glad if it helps

[00:00:37] Anyone else out too

[00:00:47] If others disrespect me or give me flack

[00:00:50] I'll stop and think before I react

[00:00:53] Knowing that they're going through insecure stages

[00:00:55] I'll take the opportunity to exercise patience

[00:00:58] I'll see it as a chance to help the other person

[00:01:00] Nip it in the bud before it can worsen

[00:01:03] A chance for me to be strong and sure

[00:01:05] As I think on the Buddhas who have come before

[00:01:07] As I praise and respect the good they've done

[00:01:10] Knowing only love can conquer in every situation

[00:01:12] We need other people in order to create

[00:01:14] The circumstances for the learning that we're here to generate

[00:01:17] Situations that bring up my deepest fears

[00:01:19] So we can work to release them until they're cleared

[00:01:22] Therefore it only makes sense

[00:01:24] To thank our enemies despite their intent

[00:01:38] The Bodhisattva path is one of power and strength

[00:01:48] A strength from within to go the length

[00:01:51] Seeing others are as important as myself

[00:01:53] I strive for a happiness of mental wealth

[00:01:56] With the interconnectedness that we share as one

[00:01:58] Every action that we take affects everyone

[00:02:00] So in deciding for what a situation calls

[00:02:03] There is a path for the good of all

[00:02:05] I try to make my every action for that highest good

[00:02:08] With the altruistic wish to achieve buddhahood

[00:02:10] So I pledge here before everyone who's listening

[00:02:13] To try to make my every action for the good of all beings

[00:02:16] For the rest of my lifetimes and even beyond

[00:02:18] I vow to do my best to do no harm

[00:02:20] And in times of doubt I can think on the dharma

[00:02:22] And the enlightened ones who've graduated samsara
