《The Little Fiddle》歌词

The Little Fiddle

[00:00:00] My dear children, hello.

[00:00:03] Oh, no no no children, everyone must answer

[00:00:06] Please hello before we can start. Hello?

[00:00:08] Well, that is better. Now,

[00:00:11] If you would all draw up your chairs and listen very closely

[00:00:15] I will tell you a most unusual story. The story of the little fiddle.

[00:00:25] As it is told in Symphony number 45,

[00:00:28] Which was written by the great Chzekoslovakian composer Andree (gibberish name) Junior.

[00:00:38] Now, this story children is very unusual,

[00:00:49] Because it is told not only with words,

[00:00:52] But also with music.

[00:00:54] But first I want you to meet the symphony orchestra.

[00:01:02] How do you do?

[00:01:04] Shake hands with the trombone

[00:01:06] And the tuba

[00:01:07] And the oboe

[00:01:08] And the saxaphone, sousaphone, zither and xylophone

[00:01:11] Clarinet, buglehorn, fiddle and fuglehorn

[00:01:13] Tinny kazoo and the timpani, too

[00:01:15] And the piccollo, picollo

[00:01:19] Now some of you children may be very surprised to hear

[00:01:24] That the symphony is not only music,

[00:01:27] But that it always tells a story.

[00:01:30] Which has a beginning, a middle, and an end.

[00:01:35] Except for the unfinished symphony,

[00:01:37] Which has a beginning....

[00:01:41] As I was saying

[00:01:43] If you listen you will hear

[00:01:45] From the corner of your ear

[00:01:46] How the oboe she makes love to the bassoon

[00:01:50] And the pipe goes diddle, diddle

[00:01:52] And the fiddle's in the middle

[00:01:53] And the dish ran away with the spoon.

[00:01:54] Heh, heh, heh, that's what she did.

[00:01:57] Well, so. Now we tell the story.

[00:01:59] Which starts with the first movement.

[00:02:02] Presto vivace argomento molto, contabale molto, chocolo molto.

[00:02:06] And we have the first theme which is naturally the theme of the little fiddle.

[00:02:14] Now this little fiddle is a young girl who lives with her wicked guardian,

[00:02:24] Which is a french horn.

[00:02:26] Now this young girl, who is a beautiful girl,

[00:02:38] And her wicked guardian live all alone on a farm.

[00:02:51] And all she has for company are a hen, and a dog, and a nanny goat.

[00:03:15] Now, one day when her wicked guardian,

[00:03:18] The french horn,is upstairs busy washing his coils along came a handsome young trumpet.

[00:03:31] When he clasps his eyes on the little fiddle his heart went zing (musical noise)

[00:03:40] And he gets so excited he has a big cadenza,

[00:03:46] Which is a solo passage in triple time.

[00:03:53] This brings us to the second movement,

[00:04:36] When the little fiddle is happy, and the trumpet is happy.

[00:04:39] When suddenly, out stalks the french horn.

[00:04:44] Ehhhhhh,

[00:04:45] What's going on here says the french horn.

[00:04:47] The little fiddle is so putrified her bridge falls out.

[00:04:49] But the trumpet says, we love each other.

[00:04:51] But the french horn is very objectionable to this marriage.

[00:05:02] And the trumpet blows his top, ah shut up!

[00:05:08] Now I know who you are, you are not the french horn at all.

[00:05:12] That (nice music) had me fooled for awhile but the (bad music) gave you away.

[00:05:20] You are a glockenspiel in disguise beyond a doubt wanted by the police for drowning twelve little fiddles out.

[00:05:26] The glockenspiel tries to escape to his flat but the animals are too sharp for him.

[00:05:31] Ow, in the leg!

[00:05:37] Ow, in the neck!

[00:05:40] Ow, in the face!

[00:05:42] Ow, in the other place!

[00:05:45] The glockenspiel is trapped, his escape they are foiling,

[00:05:48] So he jumps into a kettle drum, which is boiling.
