《Uneasy Rider》歌词

Uneasy Rider

[00:00:00] Uneasy Rider - Br5-49

[00:00:24] I was takin' a trip out to L A

[00:00:26] Toolin' along in my cheverolet

[00:00:27] Tokin' on a number and diggin' on the radio

[00:00:31] Just as I crossed the Mississippi line

[00:00:32] I heard that highway start to whine

[00:00:34] And I knew that left rear tire was about to blow

[00:00:37] Well the spare was flat and I got uptight

[00:00:39] Cause there wasn't a filling station in sight

[00:00:41] So I just limped on down the shoulder on the rim

[00:00:44] I went as far as I could and when I stopped the car

[00:00:46] It was right in front of this little bar

[00:00:47] Kind of a red-neck lookin' joint called the Dew Drop Inn

[00:00:58] I stuffed my hair up under my hat

[00:00:59] And told the bartender that I had a flat

[00:01:01] And would he be kind enough to give me change for a one

[00:01:04] There was one thing I was sure proud to see

[00:01:06] There wasn't a soul in the place except for him and me

[00:01:07] He just looked disgusted and pointed toward the telephone

[00:01:11] I called up the station down the road away

[00:01:12] He said he wasn't very busy today

[00:01:14] And he could have someone about 10 minutes or so

[00:01:17] He said "Now you just stay right where yer at "

[00:01:19] But I didn't bother to tell the darn fool

[00:01:21] I sure as hell didn't have anyplace else to go

[00:01:24] I just ordered up a beer and sat down at the bar

[00:01:26] When some guy walked in and said

[00:01:27] "Who owns this car with the peace sign

[00:01:29] The mag wheels and the four on the floor "

[00:01:31] He looked at me and I damn near died

[00:01:33] And I decided that I'd just wait outside

[00:01:34] So I laid a dollar on the bar and headed for the door

[00:01:44] Just when I thought I'd get outta there with my skin

[00:01:46] These 5 big dudes come strollin in

[00:01:48] With one old drunk chick and some fella with green teeth

[00:01:51] I was almost to the door when the biggest one

[00:01:53] Said "You tip your hat to this lady son "

[00:01:54] And when I did all that hair fell out from underneath

[00:01:57] Now the last thing I wanted was to get a fight

[00:01:59] In Jackson Mississippi on a Saturday night

[00:02:01] Especially when there was three of them and only one of me

[00:02:04] They all started laughin and I felt kinda sick

[00:02:06] And I knew I better think of something pretty quick

[00:02:08] I just reached out and kicked old green teeth right in the knee

[00:02:11] He let out a yell that'd curl yer hair

[00:02:13] But before he moved I grabbed me a chair and said

[00:02:15] "Watch him Folks 'cause he's a thoroughly dangerous man "

[00:02:17] I said "You may not know it but this man is a spy

[00:02:20] He's a undercover agent for the FBI

[00:02:21] He's been sent down here to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan "

[00:02:24] He was still bent over holdin on to his knee

[00:02:26] But everybody else was looking and listening to me

[00:02:28] And I laid it on thicker and heavier as I went

[00:02:31] I said "Would you believe this man has gone as far

[00:02:33] As tearing Wallace stickers off the bumpers of cars

[00:02:35] And he voted for George McGovern for President "

[00:02:38] "He's a friend of them long haired hippy-type pinko fags

[00:02:40] I betchya he's even got a commie flag

[00:02:42] Tacked up on the wall inside of his garage "

[00:02:45] "He's a snake in the grass I tell ya guys

[00:02:46] He may look dumb but that's just a disguise

[00:02:48] He's a mastermind in the ways of espionage"

[00:02:58] They all started lookin real suspicious at him

[00:02:59] He jumped up and said "Now just wait a minute Jim

[00:03:01] You know he's lying I been living here all of my life "

[00:03:04] "I'm a faithful follower of Brother John Birch

[00:03:06] And I belong to the Antioch Baptist Church

[00:03:08] And I ain't even got a garage

[00:03:09] You can call home and ask my wife "

[00:03:11] Then he started saying somethin' 'bout the way I was dressed

[00:03:13] But I didn't wait around to hear the rest

[00:03:14] I was too busy moving and hoping I didn't run outta luck

[00:03:17] When I hit the ground I was making tracks

[00:03:19] And they were just taking my car down off the jacks

[00:03:21] So I threw the man a twenty

[00:03:22] And jumped in and fired that mother up

[00:03:24] Mario Andretti wouldda sure been proud

[00:03:26] Of the way I was movin when I passed that crowd

[00:03:28] Coming out the door and headed toward me at a trot

[00:03:31] And I guess I should gone ahead and run

[00:03:33] But somehow I just couldn't resist the fun

[00:03:34] Of chasing them all just once around the parking lot

[00:03:44] Well they headed for their car but I hit the gas

[00:03:46] And spun around and headed them off at the pass

[00:03:48] I was slinging gravel and putting a ton of dust in the air

[00:03:51] I had them all out there steppin and fetchin

[00:03:52] Like their heads was on fire and their asses was catchin

[00:03:54] Then I figgered I had better go ahead

[00:03:55] And split before the cops got there

[00:03:57] When I hit the road I was really wheelin

[00:03:59] Had gravel flyin and rubber squeelin

[00:04:01] And I didn't slow down till I was almost to Arkansas

[00:04:04] I think I'm gonna reroute my trip

[00:04:06] I wonder if anybody'd think I'd flipped

[00:04:08] I went to L A via Omaha
