[00:01:24] Especially if I strung it out over several years

[00:01:29] The first day I got me a fuel pump

[00:01:31] And the next day I got me an engine and a trunk

[00:01:34] Then I got me a transmission and all the chrome

[00:01:38] The little things I could get in my big lunchbox

[00:01:40] Like nuts and bolts and all 4 shocks

[00:01:43] But the big stuff we snuck out my buddy's mobile home

[00:01:48] Now up to now my plan went alright

[00:01:50] 'Til we tried to put it all together one night

[00:01:53] And that's when we noticed

[00:01:54] That somethin' was definitly wrong

[00:01:57] The transmission was a '53 and

[00:02:00] The motor turned out to be a '73 and

[00:02:02] When we tried to put in the bolts all the holes were gone

[00:02:07] So we drilled it out so that it would fit and

[00:02:09] With a little help from an adapter kit

[00:02:12] We had that engine runnin' just like a song

[00:02:16] Now the headlights they was another sight

[00:02:19] We had 2 on the left and 1 on the right

[00:02:21] But when we pulled out the switch all 3 of 'em come on

[00:02:26] The back end looked kinda funny too

[00:02:28] But we put it together and when we got through

[00:02:31] Well that's when we noticed that we only had 1 tail fin

[00:02:36] About that time my wife walked out and

[00:02:38] I could see in her eyes that she had her doubts

[00:02:40] But she opened the door and said

[00:02:42] "Honey take me for a spin"

[00:02:45] So we drove uptown just to get the tags and

[00:02:47] I headed her right on down main drag

[00:02:50] I could hear everybody laughin' for blocks around

[00:02:54] But up there at the court house they didn't laugh

[00:02:57] Cuz to type it up it took the whole staff and

[00:03:00] When they got through the title weighed 60 pounds

[00:03:04] I'd got it one piece at a time

[00:03:06] And it didn't cost me a dime
