[00:01:04] When sam were informed of his sentence

[00:01:07] Surprise rooted him to the spot

[00:01:18] And so he sat cleaning his musket

[00:01:21] And polishing barrel and butt

[00:01:25] While the pudding his mother had sent him

[00:01:32] Now the centre that sam's lot were holding

[00:01:36] Ran around a place called badajoz

[00:01:40] Where the spaniards had put up a bastion

[00:01:44] And oh what a bastion it was

[00:01:47] They pounded away all the morning

[00:01:50] With canister grape shot and ball

[00:01:53] But the face of the bastion defied them

[00:01:57] They made no impression at all

[00:01:59] They started again after dinner

[00:02:02] Bombarding as hard as they could

[00:02:05] And the duke brought his own private cannon

[00:02:10] But that weren't day pence oh good

[00:02:13] The duke said sam put down they musket

[00:02:27] The duke looked at sam so reproachful

[00:02:48] Then looked down the duke's private gun

[00:02:51] And said we'd best put in two charges

[00:02:55] We'll never bust bastion with one

[00:02:59] He tipped cannon ball out of muzzle

[00:03:01] He took out the wadding and all

[00:03:04] He filled barrel chock full of powder

[00:03:07] Then picked up and replaced the ball

[00:03:10] He took a good aim at the bastion

[00:03:13] Then said right oh duke let her fly

[00:03:18] The cannon nigh jumped off her trunnions

[00:03:22] And up went the bastion sky high

[00:03:27] The duke he weren't alf elated

[00:03:31] He danced around trench full of glee

[00:03:34] And said sam for this gallant action

[00:03:39] You can hot up your pudding for tea

[00:03:42] Sam looked round to pick up his pudding

[00:03:46] But it wasn't there nowhere about

[00:03:49] In the place where he thought he had left it

[00:03:52] Lay the cannon ball he'd just tipped out

[00:03:57] Sam saw in a flash what ad happened

[00:04:01] By an unprecedented mishap

[00:04:04] The pudding his mother had sent him

[00:04:07] Had blown badajoz off the map

[00:04:11] That's why fuisilliers wear at today this moment
