[00:01:18] Then one day the doctor looked at me and said

[00:01:40] Aimed it at Shep's faithful head

[00:01:47] But I just couldn't do it I wanted to run

[00:01:54] I wished they would shoot me instead

[00:02:02] So I threw down that old gun ran right up to his side

[00:02:09] He laid his faithful old head right on my knee

[00:02:14] And friends I stroked the best pal that a man ever found

[00:02:24] I even cried so I scarsely could see

[00:02:32] Now old Shap he knew he knew he was going to go

[00:02:37] 'Cause he reached out and he licked at my hand

[00:02:47] Then he looked up at me just as much as to say

[00:02:54] I hate to but you understand

[00:03:01] Now old Shep is gone where the good doggies go

[00:03:08] And no more with old Shep will I roam
