《The Battle Of New Orleans》歌词

[00:00:00] The Battle Of New Orleans - Johnny Horton
[00:00:09] In eighteen-fourteen we took a little trip
[00:00:12] Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississipp
[00:00:15] We took a little bacon and we took a little beans
[00:00:17] And we caught the bloody British in the town of New Orleans
[00:00:20] We fired our guns and the British kept on comin
[00:00:23] There wasnt neigh as many as there was a while ago
[00:00:25] We fired once more and they began to runnin
[00:00:28] On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
[00:00:33] We looked down the river and we seen the British come
[00:00:36] And there must have been a hundred of em beatin on the drum
[00:00:39] They stepped so high and they made their bugles ring
[00:00:41] We stood behind our cotton bales and didnt say a thing
[00:00:44] We fired our guns and the British kept on comin
[00:00:47] There wasnt neigh as many as there was a while ago
[00:00:50] We fired once more and they began to runnin
[00:00:52] On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
[00:00:57] Ol Hickory said we could take em by surprise
[00:01:00] If we didnt fire our muskets til we looked em in the eyes
[00:01:03] We held our fire til we seen their faces well
[00:01:05] Then we opened up our squirrel guns and really gave em well
[00:01:09] We fired our guns and the British kept on comin
[00:01:12] There wasnt neigh as many as there was a while ago
[00:01:15] We fired once more and they began to runnin
[00:01:17] On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
[00:01:22] Yeah they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles
[00:01:25] And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldnt go
[00:01:28] They ran so fast that the hounds couldnt catch em
[00:01:30] Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
[00:01:38] We fired our cannon til the barrel melted down
[00:01:41] Then we grabbed an alligator and we fought another round
[00:01:44] We filled his head with cannonballs and powered his behind
[00:01:47] And when we touched the powder off the gator lost his mind
[00:01:49] We fired our guns and the British kept on comin
[00:01:52] There wasnt neigh as many as there was a while ago
[00:01:55] We fired once more and they began to runnin
[00:01:57] On down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
[00:02:02] They ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles
[00:02:05] And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldnt go
[00:02:08] They ran so fast that the hounds couldnt catch em
[00:02:10] A down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico
[00:02:14] Hut two three four
[00:02:16] Sound off three four
[00:02:18] Hut two three four
[00:02:21] Sound off three four
